DSE141 Discovering psychology in October 2012?

Hi,

I've just registered to do my degree in criminology and psychological studies, starting October 2012. I was just wondering if anyone was starting Discoversing Psychology? Also if anyone has done it, what can I expect?

Yay! That makes me happy, I started a degree last September in psychology or sociology, but I had to leave due to ill health so I'm getting back into learning this way. I have to say I'm really excited, but I'm a little nervous as it takes a lot of motivation to do all the work myself without being pushed, I am a hardworker though and a little bit of a geek.

hi guys you can do a taster of dse141 on openlearn.I registered for it but had no time yet to start. I`m also starting this course in Oct hopefully.

Hi, I have just registered to do DSE141 in October. I'm a bit nervous too - mainly about finding the time. I have just started the taster course on Open Learn, I've also signed up for some study skills courses on Open Learn. I've put a message on the Open Learn forum to see if anyone else is doing the same thing to maybe start a Learning Group. If anyone else signs up to Open Learn maybe we could start a group? Is anyone else on Facebook - maybe we could start a Facebook group?

Hi again, I have just set up a Facebook group called DSE141 October 2012. It currently has two members, me and my dog! Only because it wouldn't let me set up a group unless I invited someone to join it :) If anyone would like to join the group, just search for it on Facebook - it is an open group at the moment. I have also set up a group email address. I just hope I get some members now!
