I have just finished DSE141 & have enrolled for D171 and DD131 starting in October (2013). The course materials will be sent out a couple of weeks before then but I need to start studying now. So could I please ask whether anyone could send me the course book for D171 as a PDF (or their hard copy - of course I'd pay postage).

Hi, im starting that module too in october.....i would also like to know what books would be useul. Im hoping we will get inormation on this in our study material.
Crystal, I've not had any offers for the course book yet but have found a few books in the local library which seem to cover material similar to the course description I.e. counselling based on psychodynamic, cognitive and humanistic theories. As you probably know, the OU materials including the course book will be posted out about 2 weeks before the course starts.
Thanks phil, i will visit the library too. Looking forward to this, although i'm excited, i'm also scared........its been ten years since i studied anything, and with two kids its going to be hard. Thankyou for your advice. I got a dictionary of psychology, and also a book on writting essays called: How to Write in Psychology: A Student guide, by Beech, John R. which seems very useful on all aspects of writting essays and producing graphs etc....
