Hey

I'm starting the intro into Pyschology in Nov and I'm not too far from you (Essex). It's been ages since I studied so I thought this would be a good one to start with so I don't get too overwhealmed, also studying towards the BSc Hons Psychology. Just sitting waiting impatiently to start; although I'm sure when it starts I'll be complaining about having to write essays (oh dear, oh dear ... ESSAYS!! .. eek) What are you doing next ? I have signed up for the DD101 in Jan hoping it will not be a huge leap from one to the other.

Hi, my name is Corrina, I'm from Norwich in Norfolk.

Corrina Barber - Wed, 12/10/2011 - 15:17

Hi Netty,

I'm glad I'm not the only one in Norwich :) Yes this is my first time studying with the OU. I'm doing Y183 alongside DSE141 as I haven't studied for about 20 years, so I have to get back into it.

My daughter is ill and off school for the rest of the week, so I can't look at the book during the day.  I think I can say, I'll have a bit of light reading when I go to bed tonight lol :)

Corrina Barber - Thu, 13/10/2011 - 11:40

Hi Netty,

I live on the Old Catton/Sprowston border.  I'm like you I don't know whether to panic or not.  I read through TMA 01 and thought I can't do this, but I am starting on the chapter today, to see if I can make more sense of it.  If not, I will do extra research and make sure I do understand it :)

Jeanette White - Thu, 13/10/2011 - 13:59

Hi Corrina,

Glad I'm not the only one thinking goodness!!I daren't look at my book too much as I'm waiting for a comb bound version to arrive and I presume they will want the other one back to reuse.

At least we should be at the same tutorials I think they are at CNS School.I have no idea about how the course starts, but I may be being a bit dense!

Happy reading

Netty

Lesley Rennie - Fri, 21/10/2011 - 12:25

Hi to everyone on the BSc Psychology course starting in November with DSE141 Discovering Psychology.

I'm Lesley, known as Lel by family and friends, so will answer to both!!  I live in Berkshire and will be attending the tutorials in Reading, so look forward to meeting up with anyone from this area.  I'm 43 years old and going for a massive change of career from retail to this!!  Like everyone, little nervous as haven't studied for several years (school was a long time ago for me!) but reassuring to see that others feel the same way.

Good luck to everyone on the course and happy learning.

Lel xxx

This is my first OU course and I'm working towards a BSc Health Science.  I'm also on fb, I live on the Island of Tiree which is off the west coast of Scotland so no tutorials for me (a bit to far away).

Good luck to everyone
