Hi all,

I need some advice and help on the psychology degree course! Im worried I wont be able to manage as I have a 1 year old child and im 21 myself.. How do you manage with doing this course if you have children or other commitments? how hard is this course and the modules? How did you find this course in general psychology wise? I feel im not clever enough for this course but psychology really interests me. What are your plans once you complete the degree?

I'm 31, work full time, have 2 kids and one on the way. Start my psychology degree in October. I spoke to an advisor because I had the same worries. She basically said plan plan plan...plan everything! Get yourself into a rountine. Kids meal times, bath times and bed times. Once you get the routine nailed down, it will just come naturally and you'll find your studies fit in with your spare time.

Depending on what grade I get, I'm hoping to go postgrad and study the NHS funded clinical psychology course at Lincoln/Nottingham.  :)

Hi I'm starting my degree in October as well, I am the same, work full time, have two kids, one is 6 and one is off to uni himself next year, I am in Lincoln and am interested in the same path as you depending on my grade.  Are you in Lincoln?

Hi Kirsty. Yeah I'm in Lincoln, well one of the villages just outside.

Hi Rob, yeah me too. I'm in Scampton village.  Have you done anything like this before?

Hi
I am 34, married, two children and I am self employed, so I think we are all sort of in the same boat.
We are all worried (I think) and we are all wondering if we will 'fit in' and if we are clever enough??!!!

well just think what course are we doing?

Psychology-Soooooo think yourself clever enough, and think yourself fitting in :)

I am sure we will all do well and if we don't someone somewhere will help us get through it
