Hi There Is anybody doing the psychology course? I originally enrolled for dse141 but there's a waiting list, so I will start it in may 2012 now so I decided while I'm waiting, to registered to y183 course which will teach me the basics of psychology and will give me a chance to get used to doing assignments again. Is there any one else starting y183 in November

That's sounds great by me. I am currently a qualified nursery nurse but I want to improve my qualifications and find a job with better prospects. I have done college courses but this will be my first uni course. I am very excited. My son is doing a psychology course at Chester uni, this September is his 2nd year and he is enjoying it

I have a son of 19 years old and he will be starting his 2nd year of psychology at Chester uni. He is enjoying the course as it's interesting. So hopefully we will enjoy it too

Just signed up for the Y183 course starting Nov 2011. I must be having a mid life crisis
. Not done any real studying since leaving school too many years ago! Really excited and very nervous about it. Not sure where I am headed with this but I am fascinated by psychology and criminology.

Hi I've also signed up for Y183 Starting with Psychology due to commence November 2011. I'm really excited because I must have been looking at the OU prospectus for over 10 years now and only just summoned the courage to enrole!!! Really hope that I can get to grips with the course material and gain some confidence going forward. I would like to take the Social Science Part 1 (30pt) followed by DS141 Discovering Psychology in the coming months following this course.
I'm really glad to have found people who are in the same position, as I certainly need all the support I can get!!! Lol
Same here Julie! I have spent a few years thinking I would love to do an OU course and I finally picked up the courage to enrol on Y183. I am going see how I cope with this before I commit to anything else

Alright mate? yeah im starting Y183 in about a week and i cant really wait to be honest,i aint no spring chicken so the last time i studied was at school and that was in 1924!! Might as well of been. I read somewhere that we only use 10 percent of our brain power so i intend to use my to its capacity, why not? its mine,i can do what i want with it while it lasts!! WHEN i pass this im going onto DD131 and then DSE141, after that it dont really matter cos i will have my own TV Show and will be mixing with the likes of Jack Klugman, Dick van Dyke and that funny psychologist geezer with the beard. lots of people seem to be finding groups really supportive so yes to that! -although this will be my first time with groups. im hoping that the computer part at the end will be within my grasp.... cross fingers i will be able to gain confidence before then so it doesnt hinder me. where are you based? im in Nottingham.
