Hi there. I have just received my course materials. I am new to all this and not sure what to do next. The course starts on 1st November. I have checked that I have got all the information I should have. Should I do anything now or wait till my tutor calls me in the first week? There is a dvd, should I watch (the introduction) it now or wait till the cousre starts? Also there are two forms. A learning review and a learning plan, I know one you fill out after you have spoke to your tutor and the other doesnt say when to fill it out? I take it you wait until you have spooke to your tutor and then you get an address to post it too.
I'm getting nervous now as i dont know what i should do... Wait or start?

I have just received my course stuff today too, raking through it all, I am definitely going to try and get to grips with it all before the course starts, especially because when the tutor does phone I want to know what to ask! Not sure about Y138 but my course materials arrived and the next thing I am waiting for is the opening of the course website on 20th Oct for a start on 5th Nov
You should be able to see this info on StudentHome
Again I am not too sure either but best advice is "Don't Panic"

Kells, I had a timetable/schedule sheet in my pack that advised what needed to be done week by week. It says to read one of the leaflets and watch part of the DVD in the 1st week

cant believe it has taken me so long to find this page again!! i am wondering about the trplicate forms we have, im guessing that we dont send them in until we are finishing an assignment, there is a tma number which i cant find anywhere. do you know what to do with them? at least i have a tutors contact details, they havent missed me out.
Hey Amanda. To save you time in trying to find this page again.. When you get to the platform home page scroll down and about half way down ish there is a bit on what groups you have joined and bookmarked. It saves you scrolling through everything. I had to ask help to find it out. Yeah gonna start mine sometime this week, Got a office desk coming this week so i can have my own space and peace and quiet. Kepp in touch and we could help one another.

I have received my y183 psychology work as well. I have watched the DVD and I've made a start on the first question, don't know if it's right, I'm hoping maybe the tutor will let me know. I don know how much guidance you get, as I've never done a uni course before, only college.

I'm just about to start planning my 1st task answer... scary or what!!! I keep going tos tart then referring back to the book thinking I'm not ready... Have now spoken to my tutor she was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful. Definately put my mind a rest... Best of luck if we can help each other in anyway answering the tasks, just shout....
