Sorry to post at a late date, but looking at that link, does it mean that only staff can access eduroam and not students?

Extension of Eduroam support to students has supposedly been coming for years. Supposedly the issue was the need for a new authentication backend - but implementing even the most complex RADIUS roll-out doesn't take more than six months and Eduroam support will hardly add much to the authentication workload generated by the OU web site.
I'm afraid this is yet another case (alongside getting some of the bugs in the Platform web site fixed - the 'breadcrumbs' have never worked properly and Notices is horribly broken) where a lot was promised but little delivered - a poor situation considering how high OU fees now are.
If you have a SCONUL Access card (which is free from the Library helpdesk), talk to the University of Southampton librarians and see if they can arrange for some sort of guest access to the library Wi-Fi. Failing that, you'll have to use mobile broadband.
Hi Rhys Please see the website in response to your question. www.open.ac.uk/wireless
