Hi Tiffaney and welcome to the OU. Sounds like you have your hands full with three sons but lots of OU students fit study around children and other commitments and you might find the OU Parents Group on Platform useful, as well as the DD101 Group.
Best of luck with your studies
Robyn

Mark Smith - Tue, 24/01/2012 - 18:55
Hi, I'm Mark.
I'm completely new to the Open university. I've been out of education for far too long, convincing myself that being preoccupied with traveling and "self-exploration" are reasonable justifications for this, when in fact I've just been very lazy.
I'm starting with the AA100 course ( The arts past and present ) in the hopes of proving to myself that I can overcome my inability to commit myself to anything for any considerable period of time, all the while improving my understanding of a number of subjects that have always fascinated me.
In the long term I intend to continue studying with the OU, though I'm not yet sure which path to take.
Jean-Louis Scarsi - Thu, 26/01/2012 - 18:37
Welcome Mark to the OU,
The Open University is great because you can travel or work abroad while setting exams worldwilde.
Jean-Louis Scarsi - Thu, 26/01/2012 - 18:32
Hi Everyone,
I am Jean-Louis and come from France near Paris.
As being dyslexic, I have successfully completed a diploma in Politics and Governments while moving from the UK to France
I am looking to move fowards a degree in getting a career.
I lived 1 years in Australia and nine years in Britain.
Although I have been living at home for nine months, I miss meeting international people and speaking English.
Since I read under Jack Kerouac, Aldous Huxley and Jules Verne, I have been travelling independently for many years to discover others cultures.
Also, I love arts and crafts especially photography, gardening and decorating.

Lee Myddleton - Fri, 03/02/2012 - 12:25
Hi all I'm Lee.
I'm not new to the OU but thought I'd come and join in here as life as a distant learner can be a lonely one, especially considering hardly anybody has posted on any of the tutor group forums for my last 3 modules, and all my designated tutorials are at the other end of the country (Wales).
I'm studying towards a BA/BSC in Social Sciences with Social Policy. Previously studied DD101 Introducing the social sciences, DD201, Sociology and Society, D240 Counselling: exploring fear and sadness and I'm currently studying DD208 Welfare, Crime and Society.
Hopeful to get to know a few of you on here soon.
Lee.
