Only thing that I would point out, is that on my StudentHome, these forums aren't obvious. In the same way that we have a link here at the top right hand corner to return to StudentHome, it would be helpful to have a link to the Platform site on our StudentHome.
A little bit more promotion of the forum around the OU main site would be better to get the forums busier? Unless I'm mistaken, I've not seen any ads or obvious links.

Thanks for your comments Michelle. Plans are in the pipeline to make Platform easier to find from StudentHome and also to make the forums here easier to get to too. They're a bit hidden at the moment and will certainly get busier once we unearth them. The relaunch, while a great improvement on what we had before, has thrown up some issues and we're working hard to get them fixed as soon as possible :0) In the meantime, I hope you enjoy browsing Platform.

Can I be honest . I have spent at least 30 mins on the is web what ever it is and got nowhere. I suppose it's OK if you are the average Open Univ. student ie 45 middle manager with nothing else to do . I wanted to find fellow students to talk to . This layout is just diabolical uninteresting and well typical Open U back in the 16 century.

It's a bit difficult to navigate, to be honest - I only found this place two days ago.
The links at the top aren't displaying properly, making it difficult to navigate -I've got
Platform> > What do you think of....
So, one of them is missing.
It also appears a lot of the images aren't working; at least for me.
Just wanted to add - is there a reason this is so well hidden? Considering it's something that could be an integral part of the OU community, very few people actually know it exists. It's very well hidden! I only found it by chance when someone on our module fora asked about a notice board and was provided with a link. Could it not be a bit more obvious from StudentHome? Perhaps then we'd have a higher rate of participation :)

Thanks for you comment and sorry that you're been having a bit of trouble with the site. I'm not sure why some of the images aren't working for you but if it's content that we migrated from the older version of Platform, it might not render properly in this new version. That's technology for you!
But yes, you're spot on with needing to make it more obvious from StudentHome and, as we speak, my colleagues in Student Services are working on redesigning StudentHome to flag up more of the OU's community spaces, including Platform, and making it easier to find. So watch this space!

It is very frustrating to look at news or other items listed under 'most read' to find that they don't show a date.
I'm finding it very hard to like this Platform format. I appreciate a lot of hard work has gone into it, but I have to wonder when it is time for the OU to give up and and either go back to the previous superior system or find something better.
I found it so hard to find this thread to post a message that I couldn't explain how I did it if I tried.
