Mark Driscoll's extensive three-year sermon series looking through Luke's gospel is a great resource! (http://marshill.com/media/luke/sermons) He estimates that Luke's gospel can be read in two hours. CHALLENGE: take two hours once a week/fortnight to discover and get to grips with Luke's gospel over 2012 OR take twenty minutes a day and read Luke's gospel every week... Colossians 3v16.
