Platform caught up with the five presenters of the OU/BBC co-production Coast during a publicity shoot in the coastal town of Clevedon, near Bristol, to ask them this – what’s your favourite UK holiday destination and why?
The fourth series of Coast is due to air this summer and it’s not often the show’s presenters – Neil Oliver, Mark Horton, Alice Roberts, Miranda Krestovnikoff and Nick Crane – are together in the same place.
A little windswept after spending the day outdoors on a blustery shoreline, they were happy to speak to Platform about their UK holiday highlights.

Neil hits the nail on the head! The Outer Hebrides are amazing, and when I was returing home from my first holiday in Lewis I found myself sobbing - I didn't want to leave the place!
Best experience was in the sea just off the south of South Uist, when a seal jumped right over the front of my kayak, and baby seals lay on their mother's bellys as they swam along next to our boats.

Great to see my favourite TV presenters talking about what they get up to on holiday.

Hi I went to North Devon and had a Sri-Lankan curry on the Barricane beach near Woolacombe while the sun set lovely! Water was freezing though.
