Hello everyone,
I'm Linda and I live in Herefordshire, I am currently studying two degrees BA in Humanities with Classical Studies and an Open BSc. I've been with the OU since 2005. I am also one of the OUSA Assembly members for the West Midlands.
There is an OUSA forum for the West Midlands that can be accessed via the Student Homepage under Links click on OU Student Association Forums, then click on the bottom icon OUSA regional and National Forums and the OUSA West Midlands forum is about half way down the page.

My name is Elizabeth and I am returning to study after a few years off due to family and moving committments back to the West Midlands after being away for twenty years. I have not been able to study consistently due to external factors but now we are settled back in good old Brum, can finish off my degree with the last two courses.
D240 was a necessity as I had not realised the restrictions surrounding the completion of my degree due to the new funding rules. It was the only course that I could do which started before the cut off point of continuing with my studies. I am completing my degree with AA315 which starts at the end of September 2012 so will dovetail nicely with D240.
I must say that the OU in Harborne and everyone that I have spoken to about continuing with the completion of my degree have gone out of their way to be helpful in aiding me to sort our courses and finally reach the end point of a very long journey. It seemed that every time I started a course I really would not have been surprised to find that a bolt had appeared out of the sky and consumed the house and my OU materials! This time I am actually ready for action and looking forward to getting into the swing of things.
Have not yet mastered this new OU Platform layout as I was a devotee of First Class .....
Happy Studying to all those in the West Midlands.
