Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone is studying 2 modules at once? I am considering doing a second course in feb an just wondered if anyone else is going to or has done

I did two at once when I first started doing OU study. It worked ok but only because I had plenty of time (almost exclusively in fact) to focus on the studying and I was doing a level 1 and 2. I think any higher and you'd be struggling as level 3 tends to develop of stuff you laern at level 2. Depends on other commitments/level of study I guess but it is possible if time is pressured :) D

Hi Beth,
I managed to my degree in just over 4 years, so was often doing 2 modules at once. Maximum number of points I did was 90 in a year, so I would say it is definitely do able. You just have to disciplined with your studies, perhaps skip the odd working out of the problems set in the text books (as doing every problem ads loads of time) and keep an eye on the TMA calenders so you don't miss anything. As previous post says, will depend on other commitments as well, having said that, I managed and I was working full-time too.
Good luck.

It depends how many credits each module is. Doing two 30 credits at once is pretty easy, as long as you keep a good schedule and make sure you get all your assignments in on time.

Funnily enough I was actually going to try and pick up a second unit in february but was wondering how doable it was. but as it seems I wont be the only one i'm going to give it a try myself.
Good luck with your course Bethany.

Hey guys, I'm doing a 60 credit module starting yesterday, and a 30 credit level 2 starting on 1st November (DD301 and W224) - it's going to be a hard slog but stay committed and it will be okay! :)
