Funding for courses

Depending on your personal circumstances and the type of
Open University course you plan to study, you could qualify for help with your course fees and study costs.Visit our Fees 2012 site to find out the options for study from September 2012.

Currently in work?

To ensure everyone is given the opportunity to learn and achieve, you could qualify for help with study costs even if you earn as much as £30,000*. Last year we helped over 42,000 people just like you.

Even if you don't qualify for help with course fees, you may still be eligible for a grant for things like childcare or computer equipment.

Currently out of work?

If you're between jobs at the moment and claiming one of the qualifying benefits, you will be able to receive financial support for your course fees and study costs.

You'll also be able to get help with the cost of other things related to your course – like computing equipment, broadband or childcare.
