Update your skills in Wales
Improving your skills by gaining additional qualifications or work experience is the ideal way to increase your job security - particularly in an uncertain market.
Volunteering
Getting involved with a voluntary activity provides you with a great way to develop your existing abilities. It can also help maximise the skills that employers look for - especially as many volunteering agencies now offer training to their volunteers.
Find out more about potential volunteering opportunities in Wales by visiting the websites of Volunteering Wales or The Welsh Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA). You can also contact the WCVA on 0800 2888 329 or by emailing help@wcva.org.uk
Learning through local colleges
If you decide to gain additional skills through The Open University in Wales, you can also benefit from the face to face support of your local college.
We're currently offering a Foundation Degree in Financial Services in partnership with Neath Port Talbot College and developing a similar partnership delivery of Open University courses with Llandrillo College.
