The University Secretary has overall responsibility for Records Management within the University. The University Records Management group has approved the University Records Management Policy, providing the framework for records management within the University. The policy sets out the aims, objectives and methodology of the programme and responsibilities for its implementation.
The Records Manager, based in the Library at Walton Hall, is currently carrying out the implementation of Records Management throughout the individual units and departments of the University.
Much Records Management functionality will be achieved with the implementation of the ECM (Enterprise Content Management) System, which will make creating and maintaining electronic records much simpler
