To celebrate Maths Week 2018 join Dr Gerry Golding, Dr Anthony Cronin and Dr Anthony Brown from The Open University (OU), University College Dublin (UCD) and the Irish Mathematics Learning Support Network (IMLSN) for a free, fun interactive show about Maths learning. Find out how probability works and how to build a simple code that your friends can't break. Learn about how codes were used and broken in the past, for example by the Bletchley Park Code Breakers. Audience participation will be needed to play the Random Number Guessing Game, The Birthday Paradox Game and brain teasers like the Monty Hall Problem.

The shows are aimed at anyone who finds Maths interesting, and is suitable for ages from nine upwards.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a ticket holding teacher or guardian at all times.

Please bring confirmation of your booking to the event and arrive 10 minutes early, as the shows will start promptly.
