Learn to trust your academic ability

Phil, a Customer Service Engineer from Kildare, found himself at a pivotal moment in his career when he decided to pursue higher education once again. Having already completed a Diploma in Information Technology from The Open University (OU) and a Mechanical Engineering degree from another university, Phil returned to the OU to acquire a postgraduate qualification. Phil graduated with an OU MSC in Computing in October 2023 after studying all 6 modules over 36 months.

Education is not just for the young

Karen from Limerick is a fulltime carer for her 97-year-old mother. Despite her demanding responsibilities, she found the determination to embark on a student journey with The Open University (OU). Karen graduated with an OU BSc in Psychology in October 2023.

"The ability to study online was a game-changer for me," Karen reflects. "I researched it online and also spoke to people who had studied with the OU."

Open University Student Nominated for GradIreland ‘Difference Maker’ Award

Austeja Andrunaviciute, a 20-year-old Open University student hailing from Co. Wicklow, has been nominated for a GradIreland 'Difference Maker' award, for the establishment of the 'Edustudies Centre'.

The 'Edustudies Centre' provides support and guidance for students enrolled in international educational programs worldwide. Specialising in providing top-tier educational resources and assistance, the centre caters to a diverse range of curricula, including the International Baccalaureate Programme, Leaving Certificate, A Levels, Junior Cycle, and (I)GCSE, among others.
