The Open University Worldwide enables individuals, educational providers and organisations to enhance and expand their higher education capability effectively and quickly.
Our licensing agreements enable educational agencies and institutions to supplement their existing materials by using or adapting our learning resources.

The Centre for Professional Learning and Development (CPLD)
CPLD is central to developing and implementing the University's Skills and Employer Engagment Development (SEED) strategy by aiming to be an entrepreneurial, customer-oriented unit that enhances the OU's responsiveness, capabilities and contribution to meeting employers' and professionals' development needs.
It does this by exploiting the OU's - materials, academic resources, staff skills , learning support capability, pedagogy, techonology and e-learning capability - in order to present to customers and partners a professional, customer focussed unit that will speedily and effectively;
1. Develop and deliver learning services in the UK and internationally to meet the market and specific needs of the public and private sectors employers.
2. Diversify the OU's portfolio of offerings to meet the CPD needs of individuals over and above those met by the University's core programmes.
Innovation & Enterprise Team
Our mission is to assist in the commercialisation of research ideas created by scientists, engineers, post graduate students and other innovators at the Open University.
We help inventors to articulate the business case for a particular
technology transfer initiative, and assist in the formulation of a Business
Planning Guide for specific projects.
