Progress in closing the teenage 'pregnancy gap' – the difference between local teenage pregnancy rates and the national average – is worse in areas assessed as having good practice, a study by The Open University and Durham University shows.
Research with professionals working in these areas reveals that this apparently good practice was accompanied by an increase in bureaucracy and process.
