Our electron microscopy can provide the following:
- chemical and structural information from nanometre or sub-nanometre resolutions
- a variety of solid materials can be analysed including metals and alloys, semiconductors, minerals, catalysts, nanotubes and nanoparticles
- electron microscopy allows the performance of visual studies at a sub-cellular level in biological sample
At the OU we have one scanning electron microscope (SEM) and three transmission electron microscopes (TEM) equipped with specialised peripherals to carry out a variety of measurements.
