Alison joined The Open University in April 2006 as Regional Manager for Rules, rights and justice: an introduction to law (W100) and later An introduction to law in contemporary Scotland (W150). As a member of both course teams she has written course and tutorial material (W150) and written TMAS (W100 and W150) she has also contributed to editorial amendments to course materials for both courses. Alison also tutors on Starting with law (Y166).
Prior to joining the University, Alison specialised in criminal and family work and had close ties with the local women’s refuge. She then acted as a legal consultant and moved into education. Alison has over 15 years experience as a lecturer and manager in further education. During this time she undertook an LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Kent.
