Professional biography

I have recently submitted my PhD thesis in the Department of Religious Studies at The Open University, on transmission in individualized religion, funded by the AHRC through the CHASE Doctoral Training Partnership.

I have previously completed undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry at the University of York, and Humanities with Philosophy at The Open University, a PGCE in Integrated Science at the Institute of Education (now part of UCL), and a Masters degree in Religious Studies at The Open University.

From 2015 to 2017 I was a member of the executive committee of the British Association for the Study of Religions (BASR), as web officer.

Research interests

Individualized religion, religious transmission, contemporary and alternative forms of religion, non-hierarchical and grassroots forms of association
