Professional biography

Jedrzej George Frynas is Professor of Strategic Management. He published extensively on topics in strategic management, international business and corporate social responsibility (CSR). George authored or co-authored four books and over 40 academic articles in journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, International Journal of Management Reviews, Journal of Business Ethics, International Affairs and African Affairs, among others. He is an Associate Editor of the journals British Journal of Management and International Journal of Management Reviews.

Research interests

George's research interests are related to strategic management, international business and CSR. Particular areas of interest include:

  • strategies of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in emerging/developing countries
  • nonmarket strategies of MNEs
  • internationalization strategies
  • interactions between CSR and CPA
  • local community impact of companies in developing countries

Teaching interests

George has taught strategic management, international business and CSR at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Executive MBA at the University of Birmingham, University of Warwick and University of Bath.

Impact and engagement

George provided expert advice to firms and public sector organizations, including Oxford Analytica, Ernst & Young and the UK’s Department for International Development.
