The team provides a range of services to support the development and growth of the University’s research portfolio.

Dissemination of information on research funding opportunities
Submission of research bids:
- Provide assistance in formulating bids
- Checking compliance with external funders’ regulations
- Liaising with funding agencies and partner organisations
- Managing the internal approval procedure of research grant proposals
Training and support to early career researchers and research staff

Input to development of relevant areas of policy through the University’s government structure.

Staff Joining The Open University

Many staff joining The Open University are already in possession of Research Grants and in order to allow The Open University to support them in their research activity and the transfer of existing grants and contracts the University asks that staff joining the University complete an Incoming Staff Questionnaire.
