Biosecurity Borderlands is a UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded project run from the School of Geography, Exeter University and the Faculty of Social Sciences, Open University.

Cooperative Research on Environmental Problems in Europe (CREPE) is a large project funded by the 'Science in Society' programme of the European Commission.

March 2006 - March 2010

Interdependence Day describes a series of projects and events designed to provoke new thinking about how we should act in our interconnected world through collaborations between researchers, publics, artists and performers, NGO's and the media.

January 2008 - March 2010

This two-year Research Seminar Series, funded by the ESRC, challenges assumptions about the decline of the public sphere in the face of 'neo-liberal' challenges to public institutions, processes of individualization and transformations of collective solidarities.

October 2007 - October 2009

This two-year ESRC funded project interrogated the national moorings of the ‘National’ Health Service by highlighting the contributions of South Asians to the development of geriatric medicine in the UK.

September 2007 - April 2009

This eighteen month project is investigating how people experience designed urban environments. Many commentators have assumed that changes in how towns look have implications for how towns feel to the people who use them.
