Environment and Politics

This theme looks at questions of environmental policy and justice, focusing on a variety of contemporary challenges including climate change, ecological resilience, resource politics, environmental justice, biosecurity, the politics of slow food and sustainable consumption, and the cultural politics of environmental change.

Research spans a wide range of ecosystems, including wetlands, grasslands, forests, and agricultural landscapes. Members of Open Space are actively collaborating on shared research interests with the Open University’s Centre for Earth, Planetary, Space and Astronomical Research (CEPSAR).
