Mobile Technologies in Lifelong Learning (MOTILL)

Welcome to the homepage for the Open University team on the Mobile Technologies in Lifelong Learning (MOTILL) project.

The widespread diffusion of mobile technologies in all countries of the European Union presents an opportunity to develop educational policies addressed towards wider participation and social inclusion. The MOTILL project, starting in March 2009, is funded within the EUís Lifelong Learning Programme for Education and Training and involves four European partners:

  • The Italian National Research Councilís Institute for Educational Technology
  • The Open University, UK
  • Trinity College University of Dublin
  • Corvinus University of Budapest.

The Open University contribution is led by the Institute of Educational Technology (IET) and is a collaborative effort between staff from IET and in the Centre for Widening Participation.

The project will involve researchers and national/local agencies in the definition of strategic plans and policies and provide educators with the technological and methodological scaffolding necessary to implement these policies. Find out more about the MOTILL project.
