1-Understanding information

This is only part of the picture – we don't only need information to help us to make decisions. During the weekend I also did the following:

  • rang my mother (to see how she was)
  • checked my Facebook page to see what my friends were planning on doing
  • read the Sunday newspaper from cover to cover (to see what was ‘going on in the world’)
  • went on to the YouTube site to see if there was a video tutorial about using some new software I have
  • read an online article (for my OU module)

These are examples of how we access information to answer questions which are important to us for our general interest or for more formal learning.
