Here is the network picture for one of the Safari writing team:

Having done the picture she realised that most of her network was supported by individuals that she shared information with. She decided that she needed to find out if there were other more formal ways information could be exchanged and she identified a few questions to investigate further:

What information services did her professional association offer?

How could she learn about library information technology developments without being a professional librarian?
Before looking (on the next page) at how she got on with investigating these questions, have a think about a couple of target questions that you might use for developing your own networks. Make a note of them; at the end of this unit we will look at how to put them in to action.
