Topic 5     Drawing it all together

In this section we have introduced some of the tools and techniques you might use if you intend to share and communicate your knowledge and opinions. You should also now have some ideas about how to maintain an up-to-date ‘working knowledge’ of developments in your subject area. What remains is to gather all the ideas together in order to make a plan to guide you forward. In order to do this you need to collect up the various diagrams and notes you made as you worked through this section. These are:

• map of your information networks
• draft target questions for developing your networks
• table of electronic resources you already use
• table of electronic resources you identified as potentially useful

You may also find it useful to review the framework that you developed at the end of Section 3 Topic 7. A summary of the main points covered by Safari is on page 3 of this topic too.
