Engagement

Kerry Reid presents her reserach to secondary school pupils at a Science Matters Lecture.

Staff and research students from the School of Earth, Environment and Ecosystem Sciences regularly engage with the public via a range of outreach activities. We produce free educational materials published through Open Learn and the Open Science Laboratory and many of our staff have been involved in BBC productions aired on both TV and radio. We also visit local schools to deliver sessions linking into National Curriculum topics such as Rocks and Fossils, and have succesfully ran "Engaging Opportunities", a school-university partnership.
