OpenPlus

The OpenPlus scheme is a unique partnership between The Open University and other leading science universities. The scheme aims to provide an alternative route to a science degree for students who have been unable to access this; perhaps through a lack of qualifications, the wrong qualifications, family commitments or financial constraints.

Students begin by studying part-time from home with the OU following a defined pathway of modules. On successful completion of their OU studies they progress to a guaranteed place in year 2 at their chosen partner university. They then study for a further two years full time to complete an honours degree in science.

Full details of the science subjects available and current partner universities can be found on the OpenPlus website; please click the button below to visit.
