If you are intending to study a Natural Sciences qualification you will need to make sure that you have the necessary background knowledge and skills.
Step 1
The Natural Sciences qualifications all begin with the 60-credit module Exploring science (S104). Use the diagnostic quiz Are You Ready for S104? to check whether you are sufficiently prepared for this module.
Are you ready for S104? is a set of interactive online self-assessment questions, designed to help you to decide whether you are sufficiently prepared to start studying S104.
The quiz is available throughout the year and you may attempt the questions as many times as you wish. You are advised to attempt all the questions: some assess skills that are assumed by S104 (these are labelled 'Essential for S104') whilst others assess skills that are revised briefly in S104 (these are labelled 'Valuable for S104').
You will need to use Internet Explorer or Firefox to run the quiz. Your progress through the test will be stored in your browser, so you can leave the test and return on another day if you don't have time to complete it in one session.
