Education Links:
Stockton City Learning Centre (SCLC), Teesside – One of 105 national City Learning Centres, specialising in providing state-of-the art ICT-based learning opportunities for the pupils at the host school, for pupils at a network of surrounding schools and for the wider community. PSSRI collaborate with SCLC on Rocks From Space virtual learning events.
Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) - the leading national body for secondary education in England, part funded by the DfES giving young people access to a good secondary education by building networks, sharing practice and supporting schools. PSSRI have worked with the SSAT on delivering space science topics to teachers for the new GCSE curriculum.
Aimhigher – a national programme run by HEFCE with support from the DfES aiming to widen participation in higher education by raising the awareness, aspirations and attainment of young people from under-represented groups. PSSRI have worked with Aimhigher on a number of campus-based activities.

The Oxford Trust - provides access to a comprehensive and coordinated network for information on the science and technology news, events and projects in Oxfordshire.
Opportunities for funding:
STFC small awards - provides funds for small, local or 'pilot' projects promoting STFC science and technology. Awards range from £500 to £15,000 and the expenditure can go towards materials, salaries and travel & subsistence.
STFC large awards - provides funds for projects which are expected to have a significant regional or national impact. Awards range from £15,000 up to £100,000.
RCUK National Science and Engineering Week awards - funds of up to £2,000 per project are available to successful applicants working in the arts, life, earth, and social sciences who wish to engage the public with issues relating to science and engineering.
