Stockton City Learning Centre (SCLC), Teesside – One of 105 national City Learning Centres, specialising in providing state-of-the art ICT-based learning opportunities for the pupils at the host school, for pupils at a network of surrounding schools and for the wider community. PSSRI collaborate with SCLC on Rocks From Space virtual learning events.
  
Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) - the leading national body for secondary education in England, part funded by the DfES giving young people access to a good secondary education by building networks, sharing practice and supporting schools. PSSRI have worked with the SSAT on delivering space science topics to teachers for the new GCSE curriculum.
 
Aimhigher – a national programme run by HEFCE with support from the DfES aiming to widen participation in higher education by raising the awareness, aspirations and attainment of young people from under-represented groups. PSSRI have worked with Aimhigher on a number of campus-based activities.

SETNET and Science and Engineering Ambassadors - Ambassadors are individuals from a wide variety of STEM backgrounds, from all across the UK, who offer their time, enthusiasm and expertise to help schools inspire young people. 
 
The Oxford Trust - provides access to a comprehensive and coordinated network for information on the science and technology news, events and projects in Oxfordshire.
 
Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) - produce a wide range of resources for teachers, lecturers and students, deliver training and CPD courses, maintain professional registers, input into education policy and much more. PSSRI scientists work with the RSC on their Chemistry and Work events and Aimhigher Chemistry.
 
British Association - a charity which exists to advance the public understanding, accessibility and accountability of the sciences and engineering. They organize the annual National Science and Engineering Week and Festival of Science.  PSSRI’s Prof John Zarnecki is president of the Physics and Astronomy section for the 2007 BA Festival.


Opportunities for funding:

 
STFC small awards - provides funds for small, local or 'pilot' projects promoting STFC science and technology. Awards range from £500 to £15,000 and the expenditure can go towards materials, salaries and travel & subsistence.
 
STFC large awards - provides funds for projects which are expected to have a significant regional or national impact. Awards range from £15,000 up to £100,000.
 
RCUK National Science and Engineering Week awards - funds of up to £2,000 per project are available to successful applicants working in the arts, life, earth, and social sciences who wish to engage the public with issues relating to science and engineering.
  
Royal Society Partnership grants - The scheme now offers up to £3000 to support teachers, scientists and engineers in working together to inspire young people. 
 
Institute of Physics Public Engagement Grant Scheme - designed to give financial support of up to £1000 to individuals and organisations running physics-based events and activities in the UK and Ireland.
