Meet the SCORE team
Jonathan DarbyAs Academic Director of SCORE Jonathan leads the project and promotes Open Education Resources nationwide. The other half of his job involves co-ordinating the Shared Solutions programme and disseminating its outcomes. His career has been spent mainly in the field of e-learning: at Oxford University he was responsible for the institution’s first award-bearing online courses and was also the principal founder of the Association for Learning Technology. His interests include cycling and bee-keeping.
Tracey de BeerTracey manages communications, the fellowship programme and events within SCORE. Her primary focus is to engage directly with the Higher Education and Further Education community through tweets, newsletters, the SCORE and Shared Solutions websites, direct mailings, exhibitions and presentations. Prior to joining Shared Solutions she was involved in developing and co-ordinating the Research Career Development team's programme of events to help postgraduate research students develop transferable skills, in the Open University’s Research School. Her interests include squash, walking and travel.
Janet provides administrative support for the fellowship programme and events, sending news and updates via social media as well as updating the SCORE web-site. She previously had a similer role on the OLnet project.
Beatriz de los ArcosTracy co ordinates activities and support for the SCORE office and provides a personal secretarial service to the Director of Shared Solutions. She also provides administrative Support for Programme Manager, Head of Academic Partnerships and SCORE Deputy Director.
Andy LaneAs Senior Fellow Andy helps induct and mentor the other SCORE Fellows alongside the Academic Director. He has held many roles in the OU from Lecturer through to Dean and Director of the OU's OpenLearn initiative. He is a Board member of the Open Courseware Consortium and is working on open educational resource (OER) projects with the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities. Otherwise Andy is a Professor of Environmental Systems at the OU.
