Join Voluntary Health Scotland and The Open University (OU) for the sixth event in the series of joint online events exploring ageing, health and wellbeing.

Dr Jitka VseteckovaIn this talk we discuss the age related changes we have seen in the previous talks to explore further age-related postural alignment changes affecting postural stability and balance, and ways to compensate for ‘gravity of ageing’.

The talk will be led by Dr Jitka Vseteckova who works at the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies, The Open University. Jitka undertakes research in Public Health with special interest in Ageing, Dementia, Exercise and Mental Health.

In this series we are exploring how important it is, over our lifespan, to maintain a well-balanced nutrition and hydration as well as regular physical and social activity in the older age, also known as the ‘Five Pillars of Ageing Well’.

Book your free place on the Eventbrite page for the Ageing Well Virtual Talk. Once registered, Voluntary Health Scotland will send you the link for the online event and information on accessing the meeting.

There is a range of free learning about ageing well, on the OU's free learning site OpenLearn, including a video and short article by Dr Jitka Vseteckova, on How to age well while self-isolating.
