The Open University in Scotland is delighted to support this event at the 2020 Digital Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival.
Clare Hunter's book Threads of Life: A History of the World Through the Eye of a Needle, was a Radio 4 book of the week and a Waterstone’s book of the month.
It tells the tales of how people have used sewing through the ages to make cleverly silent protests, from Mary Queen of Scots to the mothers of lost children in Argentina.
This event will be chaired by literary agent and OU honorary graduate Jenny Brown.
The festival includes events with OU honorary graduates Kirsty Wark and Sally Magnusson. Broadcaster and OU honorary graduate Ruth Wishart is one of the festival's Directors.
