Landscape imageJoin Dr Dave McGarvie, Senior Lecturer in Volcanology at The Open University in Scotland, as he discusses his ongoing research in Iceland and Chile at a meeting of the Royal Statistical Society in Edinburgh.

This includes fieldwork towards timelines of how volcanic landscapes have evolved, and exploring poorly-known volcanoes and their eruptions, as a further means of anticipating what might happen in the future.

This event is free and open to all, but places are limited so advance booking is recommended.
