Caring Roles: Learning Lives

The Open University in Scotland recognises the challenges, pressures and difficulties carers can face and offers a range of resources and support to help carers get into learning.

Carers look to The Open University for a variety of reasons: some carers want to build on the knowledge and skills they’ve gained while caring, some want to resume studies that had to be put on hold, and others are looking for something completely different as a contrast or outlet to their caring role. Whatever the motivation the flexibility of the OU allows carers to fit study around their caring commitments.
