Tips and guidance on effective study - simply choose the links that interest you!
Google Sites allows for the creation of web pages and small-scale web sites via use of templates, or adding in standard features including designed themes and navigation.
Open links in a new window or tab by holding down the shift key on your keyboard and clicking on the link, or by right-clicking on the link, and selecting 'open in new window' (or new tab) in the menu.
Depending on the activity you’re undertaking, you may want to give others permission to view or edit the website or web pages you’re working on. You need to do this within the site settings (found under the ‘More actions’ dropdown menu). Google have provided an overview on how to achieve this.
Sharing is currently restricted to within the OU Google Apps domain of my.open.ac.uk for the time being
Please note that if you set your site to be open to ‘Collaborate with: Everybody at The Open University’ under ‘More Options’ when you create a site, this won’t appear in everyone’s list of sites, but it will allow anyone on OU Google Apps to browse and find your site (e.g. by keywords or Google Apps search they may try). Please also be careful in whether you’re allowing others to edit the site or only to view.
