Please note that if you set your site to be open to ‘Collaborate with: Everybody at The Open University’ under ‘More Options’ when you create a site, this won’t appear in everyone’s list of sites, but it will allow anyone on OU Google Apps to browse and find your site (e.g. by keywords or Google Apps search they may try). Please also be careful in whether you’re allowing others to edit the site or only to view.
