Department of Social Policy & Criminology

The Department of Social Policy and Criminology is a site of distinctive expertise and innovation in the study of Criminology and Social Policy. We have a highly successful undergraduate teaching programme focused on a range of key policy issues in UK and international contexts and we place a strong emphasis on the production of innovative modules spanning Social Policy and Criminology. We contribute to qualifications in the social sciences and to specialist degrees in Social Policy and Criminology as well as in Criminology and Psychological Studies. The Department's research work and staff publications are highly rated, and we are successful in attracting significant external grant research income.
