Welcome to Are you ready for DD101: Introducing the Social Sciences. DD101 is the new Level 1 course in the social sciences that you will be able to study from October 2009.

You will probably be visiting this site for two main reasons. Some of you may still be thinking through whether study with the Open University and specifically whether DD101 is the right choice for you. If this is the case we are delighted you have chosen to visit this site and find out a little more about the course. Over the next few pages we have developed a range of resources that will enable you to find out more about the course, hear some of the Course Team members talk about the course and discover what study with the Open University involves. If you like what you read and hear about the course, we provide the information and links for you to take the next step towards study with the Open University on DD101.

If you have already registered for the course, then your focus might be geared towards ‘Getting ready for DD101’ and ‘Frequently Asked Questions’. These offer some suggestions for things you can be doing before the first course materials are sent to you a couple of months before the course starts and guidance for where to go if  you have any questions before the course starts.
