Resolving your concerns, complaints and appeals
What the OU can do to help you sort things out
The Open University works hard to ensure that the services, materials and teaching it provides to students are of the highest quality.
However sometimes mistakes do happen or our service does not meet your expectations. On the occasions when things do go wrong we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to put things right. We are always interested to hear from students about their experience of studying with the University and value the important feedback provided through complaints and appeals.
Queries about module (course) results should be directed to the Examinations and Assessment Section.

It is important to try to resolve your problem informally in the first instance
Please read what to do before you make a formal complaint
What is the difference between an appeal and a complaint?
When you are dissatisfied with a programme of study or a related service.
Ask for a review of a decision taken about your progression, assessment or awards.
If you have received a grade that is not what you expected and think it should be re-evaluated.
If you'd like to give us feedback about our modules or services and do not require a response.
