Exam strategies - how to revise; how to tackle exams
Referencing - why, when and how to do it, Harvard-style
Reflective accounts - how to plan and write them
All students are welcome, although the sessions are primarily
aimed at Level 1 and Level 2 students. Even if you came last
year please feel free to come and recap on the study skills
covered. The workshops are intended to offer specific and
practical help with vital skills in a supportive and friendly
atmosphere. Please note that your faculty may also arrange
course specific study support.

Please check first whether or not an event clashes with a
scheduled tutorial for your course - since you should give
your tutorial priority. Most Study Skills events are repeated,
so you should be able to come on another day.
We shall aim to confirm your booking by email, and also to
email a ‘reminder’ to you, roughly two - three weeks before
an event for which you have booked. If there is a particular
issue which you would like to see us cover in your workshop,
do let us know beforehand and we shall try to ensure it is included.
The more we know about what you want the workshop to provide,
the better chance we have of achieving this - so do contact us. If
you find later that you cannot come do please let us know so that,
if necessary, we can let another student have your place.
