Open to all people, places, methods and ideas
The Open University recognises the important work that Union Learning Representatives do to encourage the uptake of higher education among union members. This page is dedicated to supporting ULRs in the work that they do, by providing links to resources they would find useful in talking to their members not only about learning with the OU but also about taking up the challenge of higher education.
"I would say to anybody, do it ... with the OU it's possible!" Ian Holloway, OU student
Ian Holloway's words will encourage many learners. Let's work together to give those who wish the opportunity to take up higher education

Open University Student Budget Account (OUSBA)
This is a convenient way for students to pay their course fees. Prospective students may register for a course many months before its start date and the OU will require payment in full, but if a student charges the course fee or the proportion of it not covered by fee grant to OUSBA, the student can register now and pay later. OUSBA pays the OU on the student's behalf and the student can repay OUSBA either in a single sum or by monthly instalments. An Open University Budget Account Agreement is a credit agreement regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and is legally binding
To apply for an Open University Student Budget Account, please ask OUSBA for an application form.
