Explore some themes (perhaps childhood memories, the Chartists or reclamation of the Six Bells) through looking at images and chatting about history. Then bring what you’ve discovered to life through different artforms such as painting. You can work individually or with others and may choose to work on a longer project over the six sessions or try something different each week.

This is an opportunity to reflect on local heritage and bring stories, memories and things that matter to you about where you live to life through art.

BG REACH: Blaenau Gwent Residents Engaging in Arts, Community and Heritage - an opportunity to celebrate the rich history, culture and beauty of Blaenau Gwent. A collaboration between Aberbeeg Community Group with Linc Cymru Housing Association and The Open University in Wales.

Through February and March there will be workshops taking place at Aberbeeg Community Centre which are free to take part. You can attend as few or as many workshops as you want to and there will be someone to guide you along the way.

Anyone aged 16 and above can take part in the workshops.

You can expect to meet people, have fun, share ideas and memories and hopefully learn a thing or two along the way.
