Your focus will be to provide leadership to The Open University in Wales’ strategic planning, external engagement, communication, marketing and business development activities, and you will lead a small team promoting the work of The Open University in Wales and securing opportunities to grow the University’s reach and impact.
Your focus will be to provide leadership for The Open University in Wales’ for all aspects of our activity which promote and deliver a fulfilling experience for our learners. You will work closely with academic and professional staff in the OU in Wales and the wider University to develop our support and service to students, and to enhance our learning and teaching offer. The Open University is committed to making higher education open to all and providing a seamless journey for students and supporting their learning success, regardless of their background or previous educational qualifications and you will ensure that our activities in Wales are focused on this core mission.
You will work closely with academic and professional colleagues in Wales and the wider University to deliver the smooth functioning of The Open University in Wales in support of our strategic objectives. You will ensure that people are supported and systems are in place to secure and make the very most of all resources available to The Open University in Wales – people, money, accommodation, facilities, information and data – and that we work appropriately to meet all relevant statutory, regulatory and University requirements.
