URL short-cut
To get quickly to any web page, put a shortcut on your desk-top in one of these ways.
- Arrange your browser window so that you can also see your desktop.
- Point at the URL, then click and hold down your mouse button.
- Still holding down the mouse button, drag across to the desktop and let go.
OR, if you are working in Internet Explorer
- While pointing your mouse at a URL, click the right mouse button.
- Choose Copy Shortcut from the short contextual menu that appears.
- Left click on your computer desktop.
- Click your right mouse button.
- Choose Paste Shortcut from the menu that appears.
Double-click on the icon at any time to link directly to the URL. If you are not already connected to the internet, your computer will launch a web connection and web browser.
