The Open University Orchestra and Chamber Music Club runs the OU Orchestra, and helps members of OU staff and other colleagues who want to play music together. We can book rooms at the Open University (some with pianos) to allow musical groups to meet. The club also owns a selection of chamber music for members to borrow, and music stands and a bass recorder.

This website is designed to enable you to get in contact with other musicians.

Notices and news

Music for events Members of the club will play for events at the OU and elsewhere, particularly if they are offered incentives such as food or wine. Do get in touch if you want to know more - but be aware, we do like a little notice to get prepared.

Recorder players The club has music and some instruments if people want to get together to play. Contact Tessa (T.C.Holden) if you are interested in this.

Chamber music library We have a small stock of chamber music, listed on this site, for use by members.

Want some lessons? We have some contacts for teachers of various instruments who are happy to teach adults at all levels.
